The code of ethics for customer privacy is to protect the confidentiality of customer data and ensure that their personal information is gathered, utilized, and released in a way that satisfies Customer needs and complies with legal requirements. Customers' information provided to the University will be used wisely. Therefore, this policy will assist in guaranteeing the University offers its clients high-quality services while adhering to the legal, ethical, and security of customer information collected. 


The University of Belize acknowledges the significance of customer privacy and is committed to safeguarding personal data. This policy outlines the principles and standards for the collection, use, and disclosure of customer information.

Rules and Regulation

Data Collection

The University of Belize may collect and process contact information such as a customer’s name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and social media account identifiers to facilitate communication with the customer. This information is typically provided directly by the customer. However, if a customer accesses the University’s website through a social media account, the University may receive certain contact details from the associated social media platform.

Purpose of Customer Information

The University of Belize may use the collected customer information to operate, maintain, and enhance its website. This information may also be used to process and complete school-related payments, generate and manage invoices, track payment activity, and handle other related financial documentation.

Customer Data Provided to Third-Party

The University of Belize may disclose customer information to insurance providers when necessary to obtain or maintain coverage for medical incidents that occur on its campuses. Customer Right

Customers of the University of Belize have the right to access copies of their personal data. They may request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete information and can ask the University to limit the processing of their data. Additionally, customers have the right to request the transfer of their personal information to another organization
